my japanese family were making sure i knew what i was getting into (even thiugh id previously studied abroad there, it was kind of random and abrupt for me to move there, like i had touched japanese in years and i never thought id live here again. about number 3, i was raised asian and ive been familkar w japanese culture since i was young (yeah confession half my culture shock videos are old news fo me) so me “conforming” isnt as hard as it woukd be for someone coming from a completely different culture (i would say australia is pretty opposite especially with humour and levels of formality)
